Yasmine Laabi is a digital verification journalist. She holds a Bachelor degree in journalism and Mass Communication and has a Master’s degree in political communication from Hassan II University of Casablanca. She is a co-founder of “Tahaqaq” fact checking platform in Morocco and was trained on data journalism and fact checking with several international institutions such as DW, ARIJ, and ICFJ. Yasmine published several data driven stories highlighting the impact of fake news. Yasmine graduated from Equal Access International to empower Journalists role in Countering Violent Extremism and Radical Rhetoric and was also part of Innovate to Investigate incubator at ARIJ. She currently works in news factchecking in AFP.
