Alyaa Abo Shahba is an investigative journalist and trainer. She has worked at a number of newspapers and news websites, including: Rose Al Yusuf, Alwattan, Al Tahrir, IJNET, Raseef22, and others. Alia won nine journalism awards, including: the Science Journalism Award by World Health Summit organized by the German Federal Foreign Office, and another award from UN Women. Alyaa has trained at the Egyptian Syndicate of Journalists, Cairo University, Ain Shams University, and the DW Academy. Alyaa has a published book, “Stigma”, which talks about behind the scenes of producing an investigative report she did with ARIJ on people with HIV.
