For the past 30 years, Mohamed Chebaro has worked as a Correspondent across a range of media outlets, from television to radio to print. Throughout his career, he has covered instances of war, genocide, and forced migration from Ethiopia to Kosovo, and Rwanda to Afghanistan and Iraq. During his career he witnessed closely the rise of political Islam in the Middle East, as well as racism, and radicalisation in Europe, reporting on the root causes of conflicts and terror. He is currently a senior copy editor, Translator, opinion writer and media contributor. During his career, Mohamed has developed a media consultancy, training and advising governments, the military, executives and media outlets on how to deal with communications’ shifting priorities in the Middle East and the wider world, as well as being a trainer with Thomson Reuters on various media and communication modules designed for their Middle Eastern clients. Mohamed was born in Lebanon, completed his studies in Politics at the American University of Beirut, and then went on to complete his postgraduate studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
