Ali Al Ibrahim is an investigative journalist and one of the founders of Syrian Investigative Reporting for Accountability Journalism (SIRAJ)‏.
Al Ibrahim contributed to the promotion of accountability journalism through the investigations published with partners and highlighted for the first-time stories of abuse of power, violations, corruption and money tracking with the OCCRP: Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, VICE, National Geographic and The Guardian.
He was awarded as Best Young Journalist by the BBC in 2018 and has received the Samir Kassir Award for freedom of the press 2017 and Fetisov Journalism awards 2021. The GIJN chose him in 2019 as one of the best investigative journalists. He is a fellow at TED International and consultant in International Journalists’ Network (IJNet).
